Cheap Safety Mirrors

You may have noticed, while looking for security mirrors or safety mirrors, that price ranges can differ enormously from manufacturer to manufacturer. It has recently come to our attention that there is a proliferation of companies currently selling cheap safety mirrors at very low prices. On closer inspection, however, there are a number of issues with the quality of these mirrors that could make for far less of a bargain than first thought!

Typical problems with these cheap safety mirrors:

- Mirror faces may not have an even curve.
- Mirror coating may delaminate from the back of the acrylic face.
- The Mirror face may be so thin that it may become inverted in the frame when being transported.
- Some mirror faces may pop out of the frame, resulting in scratched mirror faces.
- There may be scratches and marks on the mirror face.
- Some of the bracket parts may be missing.
- Some of the brackets can rust badly.
- The cardboard cartons used to ship the mirror can be very flimsy and offer little protection to the mirror.
- The plastic back may not be UV protected, becoming brittle and cracking within 6 months.
